SPK Token

SPK is the native governance and staking token of Spark. Designed with a long-term vision for sustainability, decentralization, and ecosystem alignment, SPK enables protocol governance, protocol security via staking, and reward distribution to participants.

Spark is deployed across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Unichain, and Gnosis Chain, managing over $3.5 billion in stablecoin liquidity and generating more than $172 million annualized protocol revenue at time of writing

Governance

SPK is the governance token of Spark. Initially, SPK will be used for signaling and sentiment checks via Snapshot voting, with its role evolving as its distribution becomes more decentralized. For more information on Spark Governance, please see the Spark Artifact.

Staking

SPK can be staked and, in the future, staked SPK may be used to validate and secure products and services in the Spark ecosystem. Staked SPK earns rewards in the form of Spark Points. Symbiotic is also rewarding SPK stakers with points through its protocol. You can read more about staking here.

Has SPK been airdropped yet?

Yes, the SPK token has been airdropped. The only official place to claim SPK is at app.sparkfi.vip/spk/airdrop. Do not trust any other websites or platforms claiming to offer SPK tokens or access to claims. Beware of scammers and false SPK tokens.

Supported Networks and Token Addresses

Below are the only official deployments of SPK. Beware of scammers and false SPK tokens.

Integrators can find technical documentation for SPK here: SPK Developer Docs

How can I bridge SPK between networks?

You can bridge SPK between networks using Stargate. Confirm you are using the correct token addresses.

Note: The Stargate Bridge is only for Ethereum/BSC bridging.

Audits

You can find security audits for the SPK token here.

What will the total supply of SPK be?

10 billion SPK tokens were minted at genesis.* 35% of the SPK tokens were allocated to the Spark ecosystem to support the growth of Spark. The Sky ecosystem will receive 65% of the genesis tokens, which Sky will distribute through a 10 year SPK farming campaign. More details on this below.

*Sky retains the ability to mint additional SPK tokens under extreme circumstances to cover bad debt. Learn more in the Sky Atlas.

The SPK supply is allocated as follows:

Category

Allocation

6,500,000,000 SPK

17% of the tokens available at TGE, 6% available after one year

Team

Sky Farming (users)

SPK farming is offered by the Sky ecosystem. Through Sky’s token farms, users can stake USDS to farm SPK. The SPK distribution follows the rules set forth in the Sky Atlas, which states that SPK will be distributed by Sky through these farms on the following schedule:

Sky farms for SPK are not live yet. Once launched, they will be available on app.sparkfi.vip. Follow Spark on social media to stay updated on the launch date.

Ecosystem

23% of the tokens are allocated to the Spark ecosystem to support its growth. A key part of this initiative is the Spark airdrop program, which includes: Pre-farming, Ignition & Overdrive, and Layer3 campaigns. More information about the Spark airdrops can be found here.

Team

The team allocation is designed to ensure long-term alignment with the core contributors building and supporting Spark.
